How to delete it
- On the website: sign in at bzan.chat, open the menu under your name, choose Delete account, type the word it shows and confirm.
- In the app: open Settings, choose Delete account, type the word it shows and confirm. If you signed in with Apple, confirm with Apple too.
- Can't sign in? Email us from your account's email address, and we delete it for you.
When it's deleted
You're signed out on every device at once, and the links you shared stop working. 30 days later we delete your data for good. Changed your mind? Sign in before then, and your account stays as it was.
What we delete
- Your chats, slides, docs, transcriptions, memories, projects and feedback, and every file, picture and screenshot in them.
- Your name, picture and email address, and the Google or Apple sign-in linked to the account.
- Your remaining credits and your plan. They aren't refunded.
What we keep
A few records stay after your account is deleted, without your name or email:
- Payments and credits: what you bought and spent, which the law requires us to keep.
- Usage totals: how much was used, for our costs and to stop overuse.
- Safety reports: reports about requests that broke our rules, and what our admins decided.
- Survey answers: how you found Bzan and what you use it for.
- Abuse signals: a scrambled form of your email address and devices, so a new account with the same email gets no second free trial or welcome credits. Device signals unused for a year are deleted.
